The True Power We Build from our daily Unseen Works
This morning, after my exercise, I was standing under the shower when a thought came to me.
My friends and family often ask me, “How do you manage to work out for at least two hours every day?”
I don't think the answer is simply about discipline.
Maybe one of the most important things we need to keep in mind is the reason why do we practise—my intention is not because I want to look fit or capable, but because I like the feeling of what is happening inside my body and the feeling of what my body gives me back through my work out. Feel your breathing. Feel your movement. Feel your body becoming more capable, little by little.
When practice becomes something we do for the feeling of being alive and connected to ourselves—not simply for the result we want others to see—it becomes much easier to return to it every day.
You don't have to force yourself to practise.
You begin to want to come back to the feeling.
But how to feel themselves becoming capable.
We live in a world where so much of what we do can become a performance.
We want people to see that we are good at something.
We want recognition.
We want approval.
We want someone to notice our progress.
There is nothing wrong with enjoying encouragement from others. But I wonder what happens when we learn to depend too much on that external feeling.
What happens when nobody sees the work?
Can we still recognise our own growth?
Can we still feel proud of something we have built quietly?
That is the kind of Unseen Power I want to create. The power that is being built inside me embedded to me and able to flow freely everday even when nobody else can see it and I Catch the Power Within
Never Get Bored With the Basics
There is another part of this philosophy that I keep coming back to is :
I am a super process and fundamental-oriented person, I spent couple of hours engineered high volumes into my basic trainings, basic breathing, basic stretching and basic movements, repetitive fundamentals executed with a sense of focus and feel the strength embeded to my body. We often imagine growth as constantly moving towards something harder.
A harder exercise.
A bigger challenge.
A more impressive skill.
But perhaps real growth is much quieter and repetitive execution over the simple things.
I remember Kobe Bryant said this too, "I Never get bored with the basics."
he didnt really care about learning new, complex moves. Instead, his approach was about obsessing over the simple things and doing those better than anyone else on Earth. In Kobe's book, The Mamba Mentality, he says, " The mindset isn't about seeking a result. It's more about the process of getting to that result. It's about the journey and the approach. It's a way of life."
Even though you are not an athlete, but you defintely can start with these simple exercises :
Learning to breathe better.
Learning to balance.
Learning to pay attention.
Learning to control your movement.
Learning to stay patient.
The exercise may look exactly the same from the outside.
But you are not the same person doing it each time.
Every repetition is another opportunity to notice something.
Maybe today you are a little steadier.
Maybe you recover your balance faster.
Maybe you can stay focused longer.
Maybe you don't get frustrated as quickly.
These changes can be so small that nobody watching would notice.
But you notice. And that is enough.
The thing you thought you were repeating was actually building you. and this is what matters.
Feel it.
Catch it.
and Carry it Within you.
🎧 Soundtrack for your exercise
“Brand New Way” — DAMON
Itaewon Class OST Part. 13

A song about continuing forward and finding your own way — which, for me, echoes the idea behind this reflection: keep doing the work, keep building, and let your own path reveal itself.
UNSEEN POWER
Do your basics silently.
Feel your power grow.
